about

1.DREAM A LAND AND DRAW THE MOON

To not only wish a fair society but to be willing to fight for it, we have to allow ourselves to imagine one.

"Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly “

Langston Hughes, “Dreams”

2. SLAYING THE DREAM
Inspired by and named after a chapter in Angela Davis book, “Women, Culture and Politics”.

3.GNOME
While living abroad, homesickness is a feeling which never really leaves you. Regardless of the reasons for immigration, one always carries it along. Its intensity varies through time. It has its peaks tearing through ones heart, while sometimes being nothing more than a distant echo of your mood. To me homesickness is a complex feeling which encompasses more than nostalgia. I live with everlasting questions concerning my culture, my identity, my home and my sense of belonging. I dedicate this tune to every person who by personal and/or political reasons lives far from their country of origin.
Composed by M. Mussorgsky arranged by O. Amelchenko.

4.CASS

Inspired by the book, “The Most Beautiful Woman in Town” by Charles Bukowski.
“The night kept coming and there was nothing I could do.”

5. GROWING

"Self-knowledge is no guarantee of happiness, but it is on the side of happiness and can supply the courage to fight for it.” Simone De Beauvoir

6. GOLDEN TEAR
“Don't cry you might as well loose your golden tear.” My mom used to tell this to me when I was little. This tune is dedicated to my mother and my family.

7.TANTALIZING GLIMPSE

8.GREY IS THE COLOR OF THE SKY
Memories of long Berlin winters.
